Biorevitalization is the revitalization of skin in a biological way by returning the life to skin. This is a non-surgical and widely applied way to fight skin ageing and various skin problems in aesthetic medicine.
This technique was discovered by Italian scientists. During the procedure, the skin is injected with small doses of pure hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. Hyaluronic acid is the main structural element of connective tissue. It stimulates many important processes in human organism.
Hyaluronic acid maintains moisture in skin. One molecule combines 200-500 molecules of water by maintaining the balance of moisture in tissues. Such obvious role of hyaluronic acid in skin moisturizing ensures the youth of skin.
The amount of hyaluronic acid in young peoples’ derma is rather high for skin to be bright and young. However, eventually the amount of “youth elixir” starts to decline unstoppably and, thus, reduces the tonus of skin, tightness, elasticity, skin stops looking lively, looks dehydrated and wrinkles are formed. In addition to natural biological ageing, the skin is also affected by photoageing, i.e., the withering and ageing of skin is additionally stimulated by the UV rays.
What happens during the biorevitalization with hyaluronic acid?
In 2007, the American scientists proved that the injection of hyaluronic acid started the stimulation of collagen synthesis and skin moisturizing and its fragmentation slowed down. In addition, the production of own hyaluronic acid was stimulated. Thus, the skin is not only moisturized, but also their properties are restored and strong lifting is obtained due to newly formed derma fibres. Therefore, by performing biorevitalization with hyaluronic acid preparations, after minimum number of procedures (3 procedures with the pause of 3-4 weeks) it is possible to receive long-term and yet improving skin look (due to induced collagen synthesis). Patients reviews of biorevitalization procedure are only positive.
Why biorevitalization is so effective?
First of all, the patient notices the evening of wrinkles. At first, this effect appears due to injected hyaluronic acid and later due to increased synthesis of own hyaluronic acid and collagen in the organism itself.
What happens? Passing to the skin hyaluronic acid provides skin with water and integrates into circulation processes. Microcirculation, nurture of skin cells and oxidation processes improves with the start of synthesis of own hyaluronic acid and namely this moment is clearly reflected in the look of skin. After the tissues are saturated with hyaluronic acid, the synthesis of collagen and elastin is stimulated.
By performing the biorevitalization, it is possible to supplement the skin gradually with ever higher amount of hyaluronic acid. The long-term result it noticeable after 3-4 procedures – the patient can see how the skin look is gradually improving: increases skin tonus, elasticity, the colour is improved, the skin obtains “radiant” look, minor wrinkles become even and skin structure is restored. In this way, biorevitalization is a stimulating therapy – the skin revitalizes itself due to hyaluronic preparations.
Differences with mesotherapy
Both techniques have significant roles in aesthetic dermatology and solution of problems of various skin types. In view of revitalization, the main differences of techniques are the following:
- Number of procedures – biorevitalization requires 3 procedures, mesotherapy – 5 to 10 procedures.
- Effect of procedure. The result of biorevitalization procedure is immediate. In case of mesotherapy, the effect is noticeable after several procedures only.
- Composition of preparations. Mesotherapy uses the cocktails of various materials subject to the skin problem, whereas during biorevitalization, pure hyaluronic acid is injected.
Biorevitalization is performed in case of:
- Young skin – ageing prophylaxis;
- Decrease of skin elasticity and solidity;
- Dry and dehydrated skin;
- „Stressful skin”, impact of free radicals;
- Inadequate nutrition;
- Small wrinkles;
- In case of sharp gravitational and mimics wrinkles;
- Gravitational changes of face oval;
- Greyish, „tired“‚ „smoker’s” skin;
- Before or in combination with other aesthetic procedures in order to improve results before plastic surgeries;
- After aggressive skin procedures;
- Impairment of skin relief solidity (post-acne, stretch marks, scars) and their prophylaxis;
- Before sunbaths as well as seeking to revitalize skin after sun exposure, i.e., holidays;
- After various stressful situations;
- For women after childbirth.
In which areas the biorevitalization is performed?
Usually, the procedures are performed in the areas of face, neck, decolletage i hands. These are the open body areas that require most of attention, since these areas are mostly damaged by the UV rays and affected by photoageing. However, in general, biorevitalization can be performed in any area of body.
How many procedures are required?
There is a wide range of different stages of biorevitalizers and contour plastic preparations used for biorevitalization. The preparation and course of procedure is chosen by aesthetic medicine doctor subject to age and current status of skin. Individual scheme of procedures will be chosen after analysing your skin and problems during initial cost-free consultation.
When performing biorevitalization, instantaneous effect is visible immediately after the first procedure, however, it is recommended to perform the course of procedures. There shall be less new generation procedures of biorevitalization than of first generation – the standard recommendation – 2-3 procedures per month in total. After completing the course of procedures, it is recommended to perform additional maintaining procedures on demand.
How long the procedure lasts?
The procedure lasts 30-60 minutes subject to the area, where the procedure is performed. Usually, there are no painful feelings, however, in case of hypersensitivity, the skin area is anesthetized with local unaesthetic cream. Slight swelling is possible after the procedure, redness is a normal skin reaction that disappears within a short period.
Recommendations before and after the procedure
There are no specific limitations before the biorevitalization, however, a week before the procedure it is recommended to avoid aspirin and other non-steroid anti-inflammatory medications against pain, temperature or inflammation. After the procedure, it is recommended to avoid sauna, bathhouse, swimming pool, UV rays for 3 to 7 days. After biorevitalization, you will receive consultation on how to foster your skin at home.
Contraindications:
- Pregnancy and lactation period;
- Autoimmune diseases;
- Local skin infections in planned area;
- Acute infectious diseases.
